Windows-like window snap & switching windows back and fourth
As a noob Mac user who converted from Windows, I want to be able to use Mac like Windows. The followings are my requests and I want to know if I can do that.
1 - Snap chrome tab window with just one grab & snap
What I mean by this is that say I open 2 tabs or more (Youtube & Twitter) on chrome and want to separate it to multiple windows (50% & 50% or 25%, 25% & 50%). When I try to snap windows, I have to:
- Grab one tab and separate it.
- Ungrab the tab and snap it to the edge of the screen.
When I'm on Windows OS, I can do this with just 1 step, I don't like this additional second step on Mac OS.
I use an app called Rectangle to be able to snap windows like it's Windows OS. However, snapping windows on Mac OS feels off to me because of this issue.
2 - Casually switching windows without additional clicks
I often open two chrome windows side by side at the same time and do my stuff. For example, Youtube for 1 window and browsing something for another window.
When I'm typing/clicking doing whatever on the right side of the screen and want to pause/play or adjust Youtube video volume on the left screen, I have to:
- Click the Youtube window (to activate the window?)
- Then click pause/play or adjust video volume
This type of thing can be done on Windows with just 1 step too. I'm so annoyed by how it works on Mac.
Finally, if someone knows the solutions for these issues please let me know and I'm also willing to pay for apps if needed to solve them.
