It really saddens me when an iPhone is disabled and no backups, that we cannot access our pictures. So much amazing technology and we have no been able to bipass that.

I wish I can access all my old phone and the date we know is still stored. So many memories

The technology is there in 2 forms:

  • iCloud Photos
  • Backups

Either one of them just needs to be used. The process to reset your device after it is disabled is there to protect your valuable personal information. If a thief entered your wrong passcode too many times and was able to reset it with all your information intact, that would lead to much bigger problems.

Apple makes it beyond simple to backup and sync data with iCloud. It makes me sad when people assume nothing will ever go wrong and are then upset when they lose their data because they didn't take advantage of the tools available to them from the beginning.

Why weren't you backing up your iPhone? My phone backs up every single night, when it's being charged and connected to Wifi via iCloud backup, which is built into every iPhone.
