App limits on child account disappears

Not sure since when, but my children app limits keep disappearing. I first though they got the screen passcode, which I changed, but every other day I have to re-add the app limit to their account. This is very, very annoying, as the is very useful, basically I don’t have to tell them to stop using their iPads. Unfortunately at the moment it is completely unreliable. Anyone else having this issue? I’m running 16.5.1 (c) in my iPhone.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

You may need to change the setting that allows deleting Apps at: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Delete Apps.

If the app that they are using is deleted, it will also remove any limits that you have set for that app. They can then, redownload the app and there will not be any limits set for it. In the same location, you can also restrict installing apps.

Another thing kids can do is to start recording their screen before you type in the Passcode, then they will stop recording and have a copy of your passcode. You can tell if your screen is recording if the time on top has a red border around it. There is a setting to prevent screen recordings also in Screen Time.
