Finder does not show when clicking on it, it only shows with secondary click by choosing "show all windows"

I started to have this problem after an update, and it's annoying to have to use the secondary click to show finder.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.4

Try using command-tab to select the Finder instead.


Also note if there is a dialog box that requires attention from another application, it may stall your ability to switch to the Finder. You can also leave a window open on the Finder on the right hand/bottom part of the Dock by minimizing it with the yellow control, and then clicking on the minimized window in the dock, which appears adjacent to the trash bin.
