my card is working and apple pay is declining

Who issued the card? Is it Apple Card Mastercard or Apple Cash? Is it a credit card or debit card from another bank?

Apple Pay is only an extremely secure method of transferring data between merchant and your card issuing bank. Only the bank can decline or approve a transaction. Apple is not a bank and doesn’t handle/transfer any funds, only data.

Are you sure it was a decline? Did the bank see the transaction? If the bank never got the data, it never knew about the transaction. When this happens it’s usually a merchant issue. It could be the transaction terminal, it could be a network issue and other factors.

If it happens on every transaction, then it’s probably a software or hardware issue. Running beta software on a device can cause issues. It’s never advisable to run beta software on devices you rely on daily.

I rang my bank they said after a certain amount of Apple Pay transactions if you haven’t used your actual card directly then they will assume someone has got your card details on their Apple Pay so they block it for 24 hours until you use ur card directly
