iPad battery no longer charging. Device 3 months out of warranty.

Hi everyone, my 11" iPad Pro is 3 months out of warranty and no longer charges. A nice guy at the Genius Bar has confirmed the fault and has quoted a repair of £650 + VAT. What really stinks is that I got the device from Sky for £20 a month over 4 years and so I am stuck paying that until March 2026 for what amounts to a brick.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 suggests that I should make more of a fuss. Does anyone have any similar experience?

Your purchase contract is with Sky - not Apple. In exercising your consumer rights, you will need to do so with Sky.

While the manufacturer (Apple) provides a standard limited warranty in addition to statutory rights, within the UK your principal claim is against the retailer.
