I set up a second HomePod mini in the same room as directed in order to get stereo. However, the second HomePod does not show in the my home app. Both HomePods work but I have to push each dot to play. Is this the stereo that they referred to? I did not set up stereo in the wheel at the bottom as directed because it wouldn’t allow me.
I don't see the icon like yours in Apple Home app. I still only see one speaker. Both speakers show as single devices when I select Airplay. If I select each speaker individually, then they show as a double speaker icon as you show. I am disappointed with Apple Home because I cannot set it up. Even though I follow directions, it just doesn't seem to work. I haven't wanted to buy cameras and doorbells because it doesn't appear to work for me. Any advice? As I stated previously, I cannot see the double speaker icon like yours, in my Home app.
When HomePods are paired, they do show up as a single tile in the home app. However, there should be a double icon of the HomePod on the tile.
You can either pair it during the initial setup or afterwards from the settings. Which did you do? Although it shouldn't make any difference.
