Old number deletion

I got a new number on my iPhone 13 and when you go into your Apple ID, it shows my new number and it shows the old number but under the old number it says iMessages and iPhone will go to that number and I’m trying to delete it

Try to set up iMessage and FaceTime With your new number to see if the issue is persisting

Go to Settings > Messages and make sure iMessage is turned on. You may need to wait a moment for it to be activated.
Tap Send & Receive. If you see "Use your Apple ID for iMessage", tap it and sign in with the same Apple ID that you use on your Mac, iPad and iPod touch.
In the "You can receive iMessages to and Reply From" section, make sure your phone number and Apple ID are selected.
Go to Settings > FaceTime and make sure your phone number and Apple ID are selected in the "You can be reached by FaceTime on" section.
