How do I move the default location for downloads from iCloud to be local on my iPhone?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Great question! You can change the default download option for Files at Settings > Safari > Downloads. You should see the option to choose between On My iPhone, iCloud Drive, and any other third-party syncing accounts you have installed on your device. Just choose "On My iPhone" here, and you'll be good to go.


We found this information under "Change other Safari settings" in Customize your Safari settings on iPhone.
