Calls on iPad stop when I close my magnetic cover

If you leave your screen active and not allowed to sleep, but the screen is locked, your iPad is still active.

If the screen is allowed to go black, your iPad will go into sleep mode and will not function.

When the iPad screen goes dark, it is sleep mode.

When you close an iPad smart cover, the screen goes blank and into sleep mode.

IPads will not do anything when the iPad is dark and is in sleep mode.
