Contacts app freezing and crushing on iPhone 11

Past few weeks the contacts app is not working properly. I can’t search for a contact as when I do screen is freezing . Restarted the phone and when I open contacts it’s still in the last contact I opened and frozen again and then crushing . Any help apart from going to factory reset ?

iPhone Contacts app crashing Yesterday, I started to experience the crashing of the Contacts app every time I open a contact. Every time I open a contact, I get one second before it crashes. very consistent behavior. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you performed some steps that are found on If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support. What we'd recommend if following the remaining steps that you can, and if things don't improve then contact Apple Support for further assistance.

My Contacts app on my iPhone 12 is frozen. I have turned off my phone, hoping to reset, but it does not.
