Email replies disappearing after pressing send - iPhone Mail app

I am seriously going bonkers with this one.

There does not seem to be a pattern. Sometime email replies send okay, other times I go back to see why no-one has got back to me and my reply to them never sent. Not in drafts or outbox either.

I have started screenshotting my emails before pressing send so I don't feel like I am completely losing it when they disappear into no-man's-land.

This happens unpredictably when I am at home, at work and on the go.

On both my work and personal phones. To be clear, sometimes they send okay!

Personal phone - iphone 12 pro, version 16.5.7

Using personal gmail account via Mail app

Work phone - iphone 11, version 16.5.1

Using google business email account via Mail app

This is so frustrating, PLEASE HELP!!

Hello Yeliablehcar,

The part that caught our attention was that it happens on multiple devices. That points to a system issue with the email service provider, rather than an issue with the devices.

In an effort to isolate the issue, we would suggest using the web based email and see if the same thing happens. If it does not, then removing and adding the mail account back would be the next step.
