WhatsApp Update
My WhatsApp shows my Apple ID, however, I'm unable to update as it shows my partners ID.......can someone please explain what I need to do........I can't afford to lose my messages. Thank you

If the app was downloaded with your partners Apple ID, then it can only be updated with their ID. It does not matter what information you used to log into the app. Your partner could set up a Family Sharing plan as the Organizer, then add you to the plan to share purchases.
Deleting the App and downloading it under your Apple ID will resolve the problem. You will lose any data stored on your device for that app. You will have to check with WhatsApp to see if they store the data on your device or in their servers. They may also have a way for you to download your messages. If they store the data in their servers, then when you log in, the messages would still be there. One way to check is if you logged into your WhatsApp account from a different device, do you still see your messages?
