How to import video into GarageBand iPad

I understand on Mac you can import video files into GarageBand but not on IPad or IPhone. If there is any new information pertaining to this I would be grateful to know. I’m interested in “scoring to picture” in other words composing music to a video. Is there any third party service I can use to import a video to GarageBand on IPad or is it simply not done?
