I’m trying to swipe up to different apps and my swipe up isn’t working , how do u fix this ?

In addition to the above, if you have a protective film, or a protective case, remove it and try again.

Restart phone and try again. You will want to swipe up from the very bottom slowly and pause in the middle.
I assume the screen is not cracked.
