Content loading issues in Browser and Google Search App on new iPhone 14 Pro

I have my new iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 16.5.1) based on an iCloud backup of my 12 Pro. Unfortunately, I am now having problems accessing web pages in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. They just won't load with the e.g. Safari error message "A problem has occurred repeatedly on "https://www.xyz.com".". This happens on wifi as well as in cellular mode.

I also have a similar phenomenon when calling up searches in the Google app, where the search results are displayed briefly and then a blank page appears.

I have tried all recommendations from the Apple support site (restart iPhone, clear cache, enable Java,...) and even reinstalled the iPhone without restoring the backup. Unfortunately, then each time with the same error pattern. I am now completely at a loss.

By the way, the browser of my iPhone 12 Pro runs without problems. We also have no comparable problems with other iOS devices.

Do you have any other solution approaches?

If you're experiencing a content loading error on a web browser on your iPhone, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Ensure that you have a stable internet connection. Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or use cellular data to see if the issue persists.
  2. Clearing the cache can help resolve issues related to stored data. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, scroll down, and tap on the browser app you're using (e.g., Safari, Chrome). Look for the "Clear History and Website Data" option and confirm the action. Keep in mind that this will also delete your browsing history and saved website data.
  3. If you have any browser extensions or plugins installed, they could be causing conflicts. Disable or remove any extensions you've installed and check if the issue is resolved.
  4. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
    1. Restart the device. That's it.
    2. Still not solved --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
  5. If the issue persists, you can try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This will not erase your data but will reset all personalized settings to their default values. Go to Settings > General > Transfer & Reset > Reset > Reset All Settings and confirm the action. Note that you will need to reconfigure your settings afterward. All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.
    1. Reset All Settings: Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support:- Return iPhone settings to their defaults
    2. You can return settings to their defaults without erasing your content.
    3. If you want to save your settings, back up your iPhone before returning them to their defaults. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but returning settings to their defaults doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup.
  6. Make sure you have the latest updates installed.
    1. Update Over-the-Air (OTA) —> Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support (IN)
    2. Update using iTunes/Finder —> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support (IN)

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is recommended to reach out to Apple Support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your device model and iOS version.

If you encounter any challenges with third-party applications or a particular website, I recommend reaching out directly to the respective app developer or site publisher/host for further assistance. Here is how

Hi,

Were you able to get the issue resolved? I have exact same problem plus the keyboard freezes mostly when I try to edit/hover over(long press space bar) previously typed word. I updated my iPhone 14 Pro software to 17.5 , still the problem persists. Force restarted several times, no change. Another interesting event is that I was not able to perform software update because software update option under settings was not loading (stuck spinning icon). I updated software using iTunes on PC. The keyboard issue started before that.

Please let me know if it’s worth resetting my phone over visiting Apple Store?

Thanks.
