I have an iPhone 12 and started experiencing the battery drain issue after updating to 16.5.1. and this went on for days, much longer then 48 hours. So stop with this stuff about needing 48 hours to level out the battery. In my opinion this is highly suspect to put it politely. I've had an iPhone since the 4 and this is the first time I've ever experienced this. I searched and searched and saw that one person cured their problem by updating to the 16.6 beta . Well, out of desperation I joined the beta program last night and updated my phone to 16.6 beta 5. It's like night and day, no 48 hours for leveling or anything like that. I don't know whether the software update itself fixed it or just the act of updating the phone did it. I don't care. What I do care about is not being able to get accurate, usable info from customer support. That, trying again to put it as politely as possible is very disappointing and dissatisfying.
