iMac will not turn on

Hello,

I have a Retina 5k 27 inch 2017 imac

Processor 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel

Core i5

Graphics Radeon Pro 575 4 GB

Memory 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

We had a power cut and it will now not turn on. I have tried all the options I can find online.

This has happened before and turned on after about 3 hours of trying everything.

Please help.

If it shuts down again or you can't boot up unless you do what you did earlier it's a failing power supply. Had a similar issue with a 2014 iMac.

Have you tried removing the power cord from the back of the iMac for about 15 second, replacing it and trying the power button again?

Thank you - The PRAM battery is located on the back side of the logic board, so replacing it requires first removing the logic board.

unless the computer has been extended storage (3+ months or more) your PRAM battery is just fine!

also opening an iMac is very difficult and once inside working on them is tough.
