Maps | My Guides: lost ability to rename dropped pins added to my guides in maps

I have the same issue. However I do have the "Edit Name" option visible, but it does nothing. Anything I type or edit doesn't result in a change of name.

I have this same issue on multiple devices. No matter what I change the name to the changes do not get saved. The bug exists on my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.5.1 and on my MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.5. I hope they fix it soon.

Same here - I was able to rename it when I added a street location to my guide. But when I then wanted to change it, it wouldn’t let me. I can bring up the edit name function and then enter name - but it never gets accepted. I tried this both from my iPad and iPhone. And I did reboot my device. Nothing worked.

That list step doesn’t work.

Please restart your device, then try this again.

Using iOS, I dropped a pin.

Then I saved the Dropped Pin in Guides, and renamed it, proving that the feature still works.

To rename a Dropped Pin after it has been saved in Guides, just swipe left on it, and tap “Edit Name,” as shown in the green circle.
