Time machine with new WD external
I want to replace my WD and link the new with my MacAir M2 Time Machine.

What do you mean by, "link the new with…"
If you want to set up Time Machine to use that drive, go to Time Machine Settings and click the + button under the list of backup disks. Find your drive and add it to the backup drives. If you don't want to keep using the old one, select it in the backup disk list and click the – button.

Thanks Barney. My name is Javier. What happens is that connecting the new one the Mac does not start making backups as with the old one. Apparently it only stands for copying there whatever I ask to copy there but does not start a regular and constant backup like in the old one.
