Hey loyola272,

We'd be happy to help out. Did you have a question regarding the message you saw? Are you having an issue of some kind?

For more info on End-to-end encrypted data, check out:

End-to-end encrypted data can be decrypted only on your trusted devices where you’re signed in with your Apple ID. No one else can access your end-to-end encrypted data — not even Apple — and this data remains secure even in the case of a data breach in the cloud. If you lose access to your account, only you can recover this data, using your device passcode or password, recovery contact, or recovery key.

We hope this helps out.

Take care!

My husband's phone and ipad are stuck in an endless loop. They constantly ask him to verify his apple id by entering his password. Done this so many times. Afterwards, sometimes a message comes up saying that he needs to reset end to end encryption... but there is no help article stating HOW to do so. His devices are completely up to date on IOS 16. I have reset his apple password, reset network settings, and reset all settings. I have signed of his icloud and back in again. I have rebooted the phone, and done a hard reboot. I have spent several hours on the phone with two different apple support specialist.

In addition, under icloud settings, his passwords will not back up (the toggle will not turn green), and sometimes the same "reset end to end encryption" message pops up when trying to toggle it on. I feel I have tried everything trying to get his account cleared up. Help!!

Hello loyola272,

If you were previously working with Apple Support on this, that would be the best thing to continue doing. It does sound like you've taken the expected troubleshooting steps for this issue, so we encourage you to return to Apple Support and provide the case ID you would have been given via email at the conclusion of your contact.
