Apple Music keeps playing at various times, other music apps get stuck trying to play music.
My preferred music app is Spotify. But at various times the Apple Music app will default itself and start playing either the music I have in Apple Music or now it has actually automatically enrolled me to play from an Apple Music subscription when I didn't even opt in for that. Is Apple getting desperate for clients to switch to Apple Music???
I still want to keep Apple Music on my phone as it contains some music I have purchased or uploaded to it. But I don't want it to be the default music player whenever it thinks there is a command to play music. Apple needs to improve this functionality and understand they aren't the only ones that provide music services.
I've tried numerous Siri phrases to try and make Spotify the default music app on my iPhone, but nonetheless Apple Music keeps on popping up here and there. The best and shortest words I use for Siri is "Play Spotify". Even when I say this command I sometimes hear Siri say "I'm sorry, I'm having some problems" and Spotify doesn't start playing. Also, after getting that error I can sometimes say "Play Spotify" again and Spotify will actually start playing. And then there are times that I have no choice but to unlock my iPhone, go into Spotify and play the music I want manually.
I know, first world problems right?
Regardless, has anyone been able to successfully get a better solution to any of these issues?
Apple, any chance in improving the functionality for other music apps so there is no possibility for future legal action from other music providers like Microsoft has had in the past?
