My AirPods gen 1 disconnect after a few seconds after being upgraded to 6.8.8. Basically they’ve been like this for a few years because apple has decided not to address the issue after AirPods gen 2 were released. It isn’t isolated, just an addressed. I’m asking someone at apple to generate a fix for this so I can use my perfectly good AirPods that are just sitting on my desk. Sorry to be so blunt, but this feels like planned obsolescence.

to be honest, and taking into account that you are so over priced. It seems lacy on your part.

As for the issue that you're experiencing, does this happen only when paired to one specific device or does it happen with all devices?
Have you tried resetting your AirPods? A reset can resolve most issues like this: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support
