Time Machine on MacBook Pro 2023

fI am having a problem with the way it is looking and I wonder if there is a way to go back a day or 2 on the Time Machine. I don't know if I accidentally fooled with a thing on the way it does things somewhere. I have been looking at the things and I just cannot tell what I did for it to do it. It just does not do what it has always been doing since I had it for the past few months. Is there a way to go back with the Time Machine to a previous date?
