How can I keep the assistive touch button where I put it without it snapping to the edge?

It's kind of obnoxious, given that the whole point of accessibility is to create environments for people with different needs. I want to not get carpel tunnel in the thumb of my one fully functional hand.

iPhone SE, iOS 15

According to the directions in the link I've attached below, to move the AssistiveTouch menu button, you drag the menu button to a new location on the screen.
