Selection and deletion of text in Notes app

I am working in the Notes app on my iPhone 12. I want to highlight/select a large amount of text in the note and delete it all at once. However, that option is not available in the Notes app for Apple.

Here are the only options available:

Copy

Find Selection

Look Up

Translate

Search Web

Speak

Share…

All I want to do is delete the selected block of text. Thank you in advance for your help. I appreciate it.

Hello yongyoja,

From what you've share it sounds like you're attempting to select text as outlined in the following user guide: Select, cut, copy, and paste text on iPhone - Apple Support

* Select a block of text: Double-tap and hold the first word in the block, then drag to the last word.

This will help you select as much or as little as needed.
