Siri is not fully functional when in a moving vehicle.

I’m a passenger in a car.

“Hey Siri, open Audible” … it works.

“Hey Siri, what time does Flower World close today” … Siri says “Siri cannot search for that information” (or something similar)

”Hey Siri, search the web for Flower World Hours”. Siri responds: “Siri cannot search the web”

The screen occasionally shows the image of a car, indicating drive mode.

FOCUS is NOT on.

All Focus profiles have been deleted.

why doesn’t Siri work fully in a moving vehicle???????????

please help. None of the “hey siri” features should not be disabled when in a moving vehicle!!!!!

Please check the internet connectivity on your device. Siri needs the internet for some commands. Please refer to the pic below (iPhone 12 Pro iOS 16)

Probably your device may not be connected to the internet.

Connecting to Wi-Fi is the first part and then getting connected to the Internet is the second

If you are connected to a Wifi, doesn't necessarily mean you are connected to the internet. If you are not connected to wifi could be a problem with iPhone settings or Router/Modem Settings
If you are not connected to the internet is the sole issue of Router / Modem Settings. Contact your ISP immediately

Internet Over Wi-FI: Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the agency that provided the Internet Service on your Modem/Router to you

Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

For your Internet connection.

Over Cellular/Mobile: contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider). The agency that issued the SIM to you
Over Wi-Fi: Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the agency that provided the Internet Service on your Modem/Router to you

VEHICLE IN MOTION

INTERNET is FULLY OPERATIONAL with browsers and applications (except SIRI)

Manually entering request in SAFARI and GOOGLE apps provide correct results

Perusing Facebook is available

Perusing LinkedIn is available

Sending EMAILs is available

Sending text messages is available

SIRI will NOT search the web when requested. “Search the web for …. “ result: Siri cannot search the web on iPhone. This only happens when the car is in motion. WHY???

THIS IS NOT AN INTERNET CONNECTIVITY ISSUE ….

I repeat … NOT an internet connection issue - it is a problem with SIRI using automobile in motion to refuse to access the internet. Again, I can manually enter the query into SAFARI or GOOGLE browsers and the internet works! I can use applications that use the internet and they work. SIRI does NOT.

FOCUS is disabled!
