That latter detail may be relevant. Are you encountering a password field prepopulated with the letters PIN in grey? That might change the answer.


To add to the others' answers, try toggling the Caps Lock key. The Caps Lock LED has been known to occasionally indicate an incorrect state upon startup. So does the ⇧ icon in the password field. Press Caps Lock (once), disregard its LED and the ⇧ icon, and type the password you know is correct.
