iPhone 8+ Home Button Haptic stopped working

Hey team, my Home Button haptic stopped working since the latest update iOS 16.5.1, or maybe the update a week or so before that one. All 3 haptic options return zero feedback. Anyone else having the issue or know a remedy?

Great job already making sure you're up to date with iOS 16.5.1! We'd like to help by ruling out some other possible causes, along with learning more about what's happening:

Is there any kind of covering on the Home button, like a case, or even a screen film?
While you may have already tried this, we weren't sure from the details you provided, but we still recommend testing the haptic sensitivity on your iPhone using the steps outlined here: Change 3D or Haptic Touch sensitivity on your iPhone Keep us posted on the results.
While we understand there's no haptic feedback, does the Home button still respond when pressing it?

bruno75 - thanks for the assist. That dang button started working again but I am not sure when. Checking these did help my confidence and confirmed I hadn't messed up my settings.
