I'll try your suggestions. This morning was the worst. I swim about a mile a day (32 lengths or 16 laps in a 50 meter pool). Today it said I sway 1100 meters when I actually swam 1700 meters. I just use my watch now for time and "move" since the is such a wide discrepancy in the lap or length counting. Several IT experts (not Apple support) have told me that there are different accuracy levels associated with different GPS devises and they suspected that the Apple Watch probably did not have a very high quality one built in to the watch which was accounting form the errors.
And the strokes used as calculated by my Apple Watch is useless. I have use a systematic series of strokes to keep track of the laps and today it said I did backstrokes or breast strokes which was not true in the least.
