Hello iDiva,
Let's use the steps below to see if the firmware shows as being up to date when your Beats are paired with your iPad mini:
To use your iPhone or iPad to check that your Beats headphones or earphones are up to date, go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button
next to the name of your Beats. Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version.
You can also find that process in this resource: Update your Beats wireless headphones or earphones - Apple Support
If the latest firmware version isn't being reflected, you may need to charge your Beats while they are in Bluetooth range of your iPad mini, along with your iPad mini being connected to Wi-Fi:
Firmware updates are delivered automatically while your Beats headphones or earphones are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac that's connected to Wi-Fi.
Hopefully those steps put you on the path to keeping your Beats up to date.
Take care.
