Remove old insurance from wallet

I have an old expired insurance card from 2020. How do I remove it for my Apple wallet? I’ve checked under the settings and there’s no way to remove it and when I click on it it’s information only no way to delete it either.

Same issue. Trying to remove an old insurance card (it’s still tied to my old car!) and there’s no way for me to erase it. When I go to settings, Apple wallet, I only see my payment cards no insurance. When I go through the side button and select the ID card, I don’t have an option to remove it either.

Ah ha! I caught that you use the word app…. I, and I think maybe other people on this thread were accessing it by double clicking the side button. Once I went up the actual Wallet app, I was able to take care of this. I’m not sure why Apple made you have to take that extra step instead of just being able to have that functionality right there.

Thank you.

I may have misunderstood you, but did you try removing the pass according to these directions?

How to remove a pass from Apple Wallet

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.
  2. Tap the pass that you want to remove.
  3. Tap the More button , then tap Pass Details.
  4. Tap Remove Pass, then confirm.

When you remove a pass from the Wallet app on your iPhone, you might also remove that pass from your paired Apple Watch.

Try this:

Go to Settings -> tap on your name (Apple ID, iCloud, Media and Purchases) -> scroll to & tap Payment & Shipping -> Login required.

Then select Apple Pay -> Click Open Wallet.

Now you should see all your cards and passes

Select the one that you want to remove.

Then tap the More button (the 3-dots in a circle) at the top right.

Select the option -> ‘Remove Pass’.

That doesn’t work. For me my insurance card only shows up when you double click the power button. It can’t be found in the wallet. It doesn’t give the option to see all the linked cards. As some of them were linked through the app itself and not apple wallet. Like for example my Walgreens card is linked but because of the app. I don’t have State Farm so I can’t download app and deactivate that setting as I don’t have an account with them anymore
