Universal Control with audio sharing through Airplay not working after update to Ventura
so I'll try to keep it short and to the point by writing this out in point form.
Setup when Universal Control was working with audio output shared through Airplay:
- Mac Studio M1 Ultra 2022 (Monterey 12.6.6) initiating Universal Control with a 2016 15" Macbook Pro (Monterey 12.6.4)
Problem before update:
- although this setup was working with audio - meaning I could send the audio output from the Macbook Pro to my Mac Studio without issue, it was buggy as ****... Universal Control would suddenly stop working and wouldn't reconnect. It finally crapped out last week when after restarts and PRAM resets wouldn't solve the problem either. So I decided to update both computers to their latest available OS.
Problem after update:
- now I can't send the audio from my Macbook Pro to my Mac Studio through Airplay at all when using Universal Control. The option is available though, and when I choose to send the output to my Mac Studio, Universal Control will deactivate.
After upgrade:
- Mac Studio M1 Ultra (Ventura 13.4), 15" Macbook Pro 2016 (Monterey 12.6.6)
Current issue:
- Universal Control is more stable now, as in it wouldn't suddenly deactivate by itself like before. But before, I was able to send audio output thru Airplay to my Mac Studio while Universal Control was activated.
- Am I not able to share audio and use Universal Control at the same time anymore? Why was I able to before the update (even tho it was buggy)? Am I missing something? like an unchecked box in a buried menu somewhere?
Thanks for any help on this!
