On May 10 I had to rest/reboot my phone because I could not remember my passcode to unlock my Home Screen…after doing so I was not able to retrieve some important items such as text passcode etc whenever I try to retrieve em I’m being asked to enter my old passcode that I do not know…how can I revive my text threads prior of May 10th as well as other lost items please help

On May 10, your phone was erased in order to reset the passcode again. So, any data that you had on the phone was erased at that time.
If you have a backup of the phone that was completed prior to May 10, you will be able to use the backup to restore the phone, so it will look like it did at the time of the backup.
So, if the messages were on the phone at the time of the backup, they should be present when you use the backup to restore the phone.

I wanted to know Is there anyway I can recover the old passcode in order to retrieve those messages?…wherever I want to install my software update into ask me to confirm my Apple ID thatI can not remember and it will not allow me to go past that step

We provided the answer and Apple even confirmed that it was recommended.

You don't have to install a software update to retrieve the messages if you follow my instructions. You used your Apple ID and Password to log on to this site, so you already have that information if you do want to update the software on your phone.

This means that the messages were not on your backup, so unfortunately they are gone.
