The mail app V 16 running on my iMac OS Monterey V 12.6.6 is loading very slowly. I cannot figure out what is causing the long delays in the downloads from gmail to Apple Mail. Is there a newer version of Mail? Are there any suggestions to improve the response time?

Unfortunately, it is NOT gmail. I can connect to GMail thru Safari and have full access to BOTH emails we use. I even tried an app called "Easy Mail" which connects transparently from GMail and it moves rapidly, with fast response time. I even downloaded another mail provider which I did not like either.
This issue started after our latest update to Monterey, and I suspect that perhaps the download did not go smoothly. I am asking if somehow we can download a "new" MAIL alone or even download again the latest upgrade for the Monterey 12.6.6.

Has anyone in the community been able to check out this issue with a "slow" downloading of MAIL with computer running MAC OS Monterey V 12.6.6.
I believe there is a parameter issue in the "PRIVACY" tab of Mail (Systems Preferences). but I do not know what is this or how to handle it.
