All messages disappeared from iphone 7. Tried all the procedures available to correct with no success. Phone was not backing up to icloud but had been backed up within the last 2 months on itunes. Am I SOOL?

I have 2 profiles which is a problem. Your links just take be back to this answer. My immediate problem is text messages and I will address the profile issue when I have the time. Please cut and paste your answer here. I am running out of time.
