messages erased after iphone 15.6 update
I updated my iphone XS yesterday to 15.6 and all my messages are erased and I haven't made a back up.
Any idea what's wrong or how I can fix it?

Update your iDevice - The current stable release of iOS including bug fixes, is iOS 15.6

You can restore from backup in an attempt to recover—
restore from backup, restore as new device.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
