If your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac laptop

Only first the USB-C ports , the one closest to the screen, is not charging my Macbook Air.

The second USB-C port is working fine and is charging my Macbook Air.

Problem is only with the first port.

I have:

• cleaned with canned air
• cleaned charger contacts
• done a hard shut down
• Quick restart: click the Start menu > Power button > Restart. On a Mac, click Apple > Restart.
