MacbookPro M1 2021 Hinge loose

Hello,

I recently purchased a laptop in November 2022, but I've encountered a problem with its hinge. The hinge has become loose, and when I gently close the laptop until it's halfway closed, the display gradually lowers on its own without any jerks or sudden movements. This is a concern for me because it indicates that the hinge's stability may worsen over time.

I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced a similar issue with their laptop's hinge. Your input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I have the exact issue. Bought in October 2022 - MBP 14'. At around 20-25 degree angle, the screen closes by itself. If I sit or stand up with the laptop in my hands the screen will move. I had different MBPs before and they never had this. I also have a MB Air and even at 5 degree, the display remains open. I went with it in Covent Garden London store and they staff there was unhelpful. They said it was within the specs. When I asked the to compare with the same model on display they admitted mine display was more loose than the one on display. When I asked the within the specs mean, they could not respond. Moreover they said it cannot be adjusted. They also said I used my laptop too much. Some ridiculous arguments and some lies too. I have called Apple support and they sent me a box to send it back to them. I will take videos of the MBP so that I publish more about this on YouTube if they do not fix it.

Did you get yours sorted? I would love to hear what you have done.
