4 Digit Passcode

Try Turning "Off" the current 6 digit passcode in Settings > Face ID & Passcode

Power off the phone, then restart

Settings > Face ID & Passcode

Turn Passcode On

Look for "Passcode Options" just above the number keypad

Select 4 Digit Numeric Code

I forget my pass code in my limits

I'm running iOS 16.5

Not sure what else to suggest. I can turn off the passcode easily as per the instructions above.

When I go back in to turn on a passcode, the Passcode Options button appears.

Tapping Passcode Options opens the next screen with options to use......

4-Digit Numeric Code

I concur with Bob this will work. You will need to setup your Apple wallet again after you do this tho.

go to

Settings

Face ID & Passcode

enter your passcode

Turn passcode off

restart device

Turn passcode on

select options (4 pin passcode)

once done add your cards to Apple wallet.

I just solved this. I had the same issue but I noticed it started when I added my work Microsoft profile to my phone ( I had to download Intune) I tried uninstalling the applications but this did not help. Here is how I solved it months later:

Go to settings >> general >> VPN and device management >> delete whatever device manager you find there if it is no longer important to you or your work.

Thank you. This worked for me. I search all over and realized after reading this that it was related to adding my microsoft email to my phone. Guess I wont be checking my work email from my phone any longer unless I just log in via my browser. What a pain that was!

Any luck with this? I am trying to change it back to 4 and am not getting the option to either.
