Why is my HomePod stereo pair louder on the right speaker only when using Apple Music?

I have a brand new pair of HomePods (2nd gen) in a stereo pair, connected to my Apple TV. Whenever I play music using Apple Music (it can be via my phone to HomePod, from Siri on HomePod, or the Music app on Apple TV) the audio balance is greatly favoring the right HomePod, to the point that basically it feels to the ears as though just the right HomePod is playing music (the left Homepod is faintly playing audio).

This only happens via Apple Music. I’ve tested the same songs on Spotify app and YouTube, and also any other audio such as movies or tv shows etc also don’t have this issue. Also, it’s only stereo mixes on Apple Music. Dolby Atmos songs don’t do this.

Any ideas what may be going on? I have reset and unpaired and recalibrated the HomePods several times, but Apple Music alone is still sending most of the audio to the right speaker.

Update: I’ve finally solved this issue. I ungrouped my stereo HomePods, then Reset HomePod > Remove Accessory in Home app (don’t just reset them like I did before, just click remove accessory). Then I turned off my Apple TV by unplugging it (and leaving it unplugged during the rest of this), restarted my phone (hard restart, volume up volume down then hold power button).

Then I followed the official steps to factory reset my HomePods. When setting up the second HomePod, I clicked Not Now when it asked to make it a stereo pair. Once both HomePods were set up, I made them into a stereo pair. Then, using Siri on the HomePod (so not airplay), I played stereo mixed music from Apple music (not Dolby atmos).

The music sounded perfectly normal and the issue is gone.
