screen shoot on mac

I am taking screenshot but it is ot being saved on the desktop in the macbook pro

Could you help me in solving the problem

Screenshot on MackBook Air I used to be able to screenshot on my MacBook Air, but now I can no longer do it. I have tried all 3 ways that Apple recommends to screenshot, but none of them work for me.

you can use the "shift-command-5" keyboard shortcut to bring up the recording controls, and then choose "options".

and then in those options, look at your "save to" location and change it to "desktop".
