I updated my MacBook to Ventura and it gave the option to organize my apps on my screen. I accepted and then all my files, folders, apps on my screen disappeared. How do I put them back and where did they go?!

Maybe you need to turn iCloud back on with the same account you had before. It also sounds like you had iCloud set to sync desktop and documents.
