Remove Apple Books "Discover" and "Trending", which I did not ask for and do not want
I'm wondering if the community agrees (or not) about the assertion:
Force-feeding large blocks of unwanted, unasked-for, screen-hogging info is bad UX.
I believe this is always true. "Respect the user" is an Apple mantra, after all.
In the case of Apple Books, there are several such things. Not only the two mentioned in the subject: also the search which displays results including languages the user does not want and does not even speak. Also displays audiobooks which at least _some_ users do not want and will never use.
It seems to me that if the Books app had been designed in the true Apple spirit, these features (or rather, anti-features) would have activation settings. Use what you need, do not be polluted by what you don't need.
What do you say?
