Hating the latest Apple BOOKS app update!

I loooove reading my books on my iPads! I have a great newer iPad with 2TB and yet I still want to throw it with this app! The books rarely start where I left off. Highlight feature doesn’t always work or land where it should. I hate that they took away the sliding feature fore brightness and font size. Page turning….page numbers…how many pages left to a chapter….oh my gosh the list goes on! Who came up with this update? Is there ever going to be a real fix for it? I’ve waited patiently thinking..this can’t be how they are going to leave it! HELP!

For me you can add the incomprehensible decision to stick bookmarks at the bottom right of the displayed page. Every other ebook reader has bookmarks at the upper right, which is where Apple's Books app used to have it as well.

Anyway I can barely understand the focus of this application's developer group, since the biggest problems lie with our inability to edit metadata tags. It's inappropriate to assume that making up "collections" and shoving books around in them is a satisfactory solution to this exasperating and longstanding (and worsening) deficiency. One begins to assume that the managers of this application group are not themselves actually using ebooks for practical purposes. If there was ever a reason for Apple to assemble a user focus group, the state of the Books app is a glaring example.
