Slow SMB performance on MacOS Ventura 13.4

Hi,

is anyone else experiencing slow SMB share speeds with MacOS Ventura?

Scenario:iMac Pro 2017 with Ventura 13.4 is accessing a Windows Fileserver share via SMB 3.1.1. Especially the loading times with Photoshop are extremely slow, just loading a rather small 250MB project takes 30+ seconds.

-> SMB Signing has been turned off

-> Issue does not come up on other MacOS Monterey machines and newer M-Chip Macs with Ventura.

-> Creative cloud has been completeley reinstalled along with its apps.

Am I missing something? Is anyone else experiencing this? I though that SMB issues have been fixed with 13.3

Any hints are greatly appreciated :)

Apple is doing weird things with SMB connections, so you will need to talk to whoever the Administrator of your SMB file server is and ensure they have something called "fruit" enabled. For example:

In smb.conf [general] section: (Between the ##)

##

vfs objects = dfs_samba4 acl_xattr fruit streams_xattr catia

fruit:nfs_aces = no

fruit:veto_appledouble = no

##
