How to add Pics from Photos album to reply on ASC?

I don't know why it is not working for you.

The process if pretty straightforward:

1) Click here:

2) In the file open dialog, select Photos from the Sidebar:

3) Navigate the photos interface, select the desired photo and click Upload.

Hmmm. Worked for me in my Mojave VM. I can also drag the GIF you posted directly into this reply. And resize it of course. Drives me nuts when people post giant images. lol

Do people know you can drag images directly into a reply? If you had Photos open for example you can just drag an image into the reply field. No need to even use "Image Insertion". Or drag from a folder, etc.

I too dislike huge pictures, and I was completely unaware that a) I could drag; b) I could resize them directly here.

I have been scaling them in Preview all the time...

It worked for a long time, then was broken for long enough to stop trying.
