Has anyone successfully downloaded files from a Fuji X-H2 to a Macbook without using Adobe Bridge?

Is the camera attached via USB cable, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth? Have you tried Apple's Image Capture application from the Applications folder. Image Capture User Guide for Mac - Apple Support

If it works, that would allow you to pull pictures from the camera and write them to a location of your choice — using the EXIF DateTimeOriginal as the Finder creation/modified date.

Based on what you've shared you've already taken great steps to isolate this issue. If Adobe Bridge previously worked on a Mac of yours we recommend ensuring your devices and software are up-to-date. Should the behavior persist we recommend contacting Fujifilm directly to review available options.

If you're unable to transfer photos directly you may need to rely on a card reader specific to your device.

I know this might not be the answer people are looking for, but I have just tried to use two USB leads, one data only and the other prob broken (on data wires) unhelpfully the fuji camera displays USB in the viewfinder when in reality it has NO COMMS with the MAC M2. BAD FUJI!
