Wi-Fi password incorrect and password is correct

The name of my wifi network was updated but password remains same. My IPhone and IPad both give me “incorrect password” messages when attempting to connect with the correct password. I have tried all the recommended fixes and nothing is working. HELP!

I guess since the upgrade to 16.2 the wifi saying incorrect password issues has become a regular occurrence every 2-3 days. Sometimes resetting the network works, sometimes not. Sometimes restarting the phone works. I’ve also had to restart my modem, that works usually better. Another ios device doesn’t have this problem, but it doesn’t connect every day to my router. I don’t have such problems using other networks, but i use them not so often. It feels like you have to deal with this problem with network you connect every day. And day after day you deal with this problem more and more often. it’s frustrating to do this every couple of days. Any tips? And is it another ploy to push us to a phone upgrade ? thanks for your help in advance.

(Correct) Wifi password deemed incorrect on ipad and iphone I am having similar issues as others (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254574621?answerId=258556688022#258556688022) and have followed all the same recommendations. It starts off intermittent then becomes continuous. The only resolution I found was to totally reset my mesh to factory and reset the wifi SSID and password. That worked for a month and now it's back. It started on my iphone, then my ipad. After a week, my wife's MBP also started to play up. Advice? It only seems to impact our Apple devices so far.

Hi Pnwdonnaelliott,

Let's reset network settings next, which can help resolve this:

"If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before."
