Slow photo attachments

When I take photos from iPhone native camera, then go into WhatsApp message and select that photo, there will be a delay of around 8-9 secs before the photo is selected for sending. However if I were to use the WhatsApp camera function within the app itself, there’s no such delay.

I think Apple, and whatsup should sort these things together.
